Style Guide

The original Leases and the subsequent High Court Judgment sought to maintain the standard of the Estate (the Architects won a design award in 1967).  Developments of this nature undoubtedly benefit from maintaining their appearance as a coherent whole.  To this end properties should be well-maintained and have a similar appearance.  The following is an extract from the Horsham Society adjudication report when the architects were commended for the design of the Estate.

The overall effect is then to maintain, or even to increase, the value of the properties.  Residents might be familiar with this effect if they have seen the Sarah Beeny programmes “Streets Ahead” on Channel 4.

Clearly it would be very difficult to source materials from 1967 as items wear out but to help residents the Board has produced style guides for each type of property.  These can be downloaded by clicking on the appropriate pictures below.
